Almost a Year Later

So this year in January I said I would be more involved with blogging about the randomness beer adventures that take place in my life. To bring all my new readers up to speed, since then I have graduated from Towson University, had my first child, and got working in my career. While all of this has been going on how many post have I made? Well NONE, nothing about beer, football, fishing, or even a butt post.

With my life taking a new form and allowing for more constructed daily life I look to dive further into blogging randomness that everyone must know about. If you have something on your mind or a cool idea of what I should blog about shoot me an email at JeffreyMDoran@gmail.com.

I plan on using this blog to let everyone know what I love about beer. Drinking, partying, making, and seeing what others think about it too. Stay tuned for more updates

Beer reviews are now going to become a weekly segment look for them on Fridays, along with an updated beer events post for the upcoming weekends which should be posted on Wednesdays. Feel free to pass my link along to friends, family, or even co-workers looking to waste time at work. Here's to the new years and to having a few beers!

Fall Is Here

With the first day of Fall hitting a few days ago, the festivals begin to hit in full swing. Last weekend, I was in Annapolis, MD for a shops festival with my wife and while we were there we stopped at a local Irish pub, Galway Bay, check them out here Galway Bay to sample there food and especially their beers. The two beers which I had were the Galway Bay Pale Ale (pictured) and the Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale. Both were amazing, but I wish they would have poured them into a glass instead of a plastic cup.

After lunch and hitting a few shops I spotted Annebeth'swhich is a speciality food, beer, and wine shop. They were selling bottles of Save Our Shore beer, check it out here SOS Beer, a beer for the damaged coast lines with 100% of profits going to charity. The beer and the shop was amazing to say the very least. Anyone looking for a nice place to add to your current collection please check them out. While it has been a rough week or so since my last post I have been able to get my hands on a new beer from The Pike Brewing Co., for more information check them out at Pike Brewery.

With many more beers coming out in the future, I hope to pack this blog as much as possible. October 7th starts Baltimore Beer Week with tons of festivities for all to enjoy. I will be out and about at many events keeping those posted up to date.

Welcome to my Blog

This is my first post for my new blog and I want to introduce myself to everyone out there who may be reading this. My name is Jeff and I have a true love for BEER. I have had this idea for a blog for quite sometime but have never gone through with signing up and writing about something that I love. As many people do not know me let me tell you a little about myself. I'm 25, currently a senior attending Towson University, play football for BSSC, have traveled all over the world, have a wife who I love, 2 children (Jack Russell's), enjoy playing video games, and love drinking BEER. I'm a full time student, part time bartender at Silver Spring Mining Co. in Hunt Valley, and part time promotion assistant at Clear Channel Baltimore. I have had a lot of experience drinking many different beers from all over the world, to give people an idea of how much I love drinking beer here is a picture of my small collection of beer bottles that I have collected.
Small collection of about 80 bottles and counting.
This blog is my first adventure into blogging and I look forward to using this as actively as I can. I plan on focusing on the new beers that are out, giving reviews of new beers that I drink, and give people a new place to find information about beer in and around Baltimore. I also plan on blogging about my experiences with beer at upcoming festivals and events along with my personal weekend drinking adventures. If you love beer and reading about beer come here and come often. I will try to update this as much as possible along with my twitter account - baltbeerblog. I look forward to having many followers and making some positive connections for the future.
